It is composed of more than two million working parts and can process 36,000 bits of information every hour. That's a lot of bytes... How many?? The eye contribute towards 85% of your total knowledge and can instantaneously set in motion hundreds of muscles and organs in your body. In a normal life-span, you will bring almost 24 million images of the world around you.

It is believed that an average person blinks about 12 times a minute, that's an amazing 10,080 blinks a day. So the next time you hear someone say "it happened in the blink of an eye" you know what that means. So your eyes are your most precious sense... care for them properly!

Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06126036779910323887noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1436200718814173447.post-15058713316733757222007-11-21T12:13:00.000+00:002007-11-26T10:42:09.514+00:00Ndeipi BloggersRemember that your blogging tasks are part of your ongoing assessment. Nathan, my brother, had sacrificed his life for the love of the family and now it was time to pay back. I could not believe this had just happened. I was on the verge of breakdown, in all ways you can think of. What would mother say about this? How would the rest of the family react to this incident? This time I had really messed up and I knew I had to make things right. I could not control the tears watering down my cheeks as I dialled 999, shivering and sobbing, and in great shock. Help was on its way.

The bullet had pierced right through Nathan’s chest and I could not do any thing to stop the bleeding and save his life. The last thing I remembered was running away holding a black bag, from these three gentlemen.

NextNelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06126036779910323887noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1436200718814173447.post-88915268245846782192007-09-21T16:01:00.000+01:002007-09-21T16:11:02.913+01:00JOKE OF THE WEEKSherlock Holmes and Dr Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend.

“Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”

“I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” replies Watson.

“And what do you deduce from that?”

Watson ponders for a minute. “Well,

Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo.

Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.

Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.

Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe.

But what does it tell you, Holmes?”

Holmes is silent for a moment.

“Watson, you idiot!” he says. “Someone has stolen our tent!”Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06126036779910323887noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1436200718814173447.post-77276699206387194182007-09-20T08:51:00.000+01:002007-09-20T10:41:54.085+01:00BLOG ABUSEOn visiting your blogs I noticed that some of you are breeching the conduct that we all drew up and have been using intolerable language. I have taken action by removing some of you from the class blog list and I will reiterate that the use of abusive language will NOT be accepted at all. So I strongly recommed that you all have a quick look at all your posts and remove or edit anything you feel is inappropriate. So if you can sort out all your blogs first and then come back to me when that is done.Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06126036779910323887noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1436200718814173447.post-59952438566347884892007-09-19T11:18:00.000+01:002007-09-19T16:30:38.748+01:00Breaking Promises...No more!
I know that I have not lived up to my promise of keeping you updated everyday, but neither has any of you! I know we all have 'busy' lives and have 'better' things to do, but if we could keep our blogs rolling by updating and inviting comments. By posting blogs with captivating topics of discussion you can be guaranteed that comments will fly in. So I have also decided to keep a "joke of the week" blog running. <img style="float:left; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9x4djJSckZ8ZGv9wTppNtJUnnqJZTPnysUJdiagrC2JgZb54l9E3JNM4bkJaS59iko2Tj5IEyM5bx7qzSC_e_s8Q2XWADuEiDBpAEyVQHE7A9PNJJm16myOqvGGe_kH9c1fomcRrHSdOo/s320/smiley.jpg" width = "60" height = "90" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5111936312351958066" /> This should be fun and interesting, because I have not done this before. This is something new and exciting to do, and I hope you will enjoy! I will also be choosing a blog and blogger of the week, and at the end of the month I will announce the blog and blogger of the month, details of which I will explain. We will crown someone a 'blog master' at the end of the academic session who may receive a small prize for their blogging skills! So all is at stake here guys. I hope to see all your wonderful blogs, updated frequently ofcourse.
Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06126036779910323887noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1436200718814173447.post-536655409338926592007-09-12T16:30:00.000+01:002007-09-12T12:04:23.601+01:00Blogger ConductHere is that list of rules made by you, for you, as agreed...

1. Bob remains a legend because his songs captured many people all around the world, and they continue to do so. I'm not much of a reggae fan, but Bob is probably the only 'rasta' I will only listen to. His songs are of good vibe - makes me want to 'get up and stand up'. 'No woman no cry' is an inspirational song too.
