JOKE OF THE WEEK

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend.

“Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”

“I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” replies Watson.

“And what do you deduce from that?”

Watson ponders for a minute. “Well,

Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo.

Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.

Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.

Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe.

But what does it tell you, Holmes?”

Holmes is silent for a moment.

“Watson, you idiot!” he says. “Someone has stolen our tent!”

BLOG ABUSE

On visiting your blogs I noticed that some of you are breeching the conduct that we all drew up and have been using intolerable language. I have taken action by removing some of you from the class blog list and I will reiterate that the use of abusive language will NOT be accepted at all. So I strongly recommed that you all have a quick look at all your posts and remove or edit anything you feel is inappropriate. So if you can sort out all your blogs first and then come back to me when that is done.

Breaking Promises...No more!

I know that I have not lived up to my promise of keeping you updated everyday, but neither has any of you! I know we all have 'busy' lives and have 'better' things to do, but if we could keep our blogs rolling by updating and inviting comments. By posting blogs with captivating topics of discussion you can be guaranteed that comments will fly in. So I have also decided to keep a "joke of the week" blog running. This should be fun and interesting, because I have not done this before. This is something new and exciting to do, and I hope you will enjoy! I will also be choosing a blog and blogger of the week, and at the end of the month I will announce the blog and blogger of the month, details of which I will explain. We will crown someone a 'blog master' at the end of the academic session who may receive a small prize for their blogging skills! So all is at stake here guys. I hope to see all your wonderful blogs, updated frequently ofcourse.

Class Concert

Bob Marley to me is an iconic reggae artist who sang with passion and left behind a legacy of unity, love and encouragement. Bob remains a legend because his songs captured many people all around the world, and they continue to do so. I'm not much of a reggae fan, but Bob is probably the only 'rasta' I will only listen to. His songs are of good vibe - makes me want to 'get up and stand up'. 'No woman no cry' is an inspirational song too. Loved it!
